Today's mortgage and refinance rates: June 30, 2022 | 30-year fixed rates above 5.5%

Mortgage rates have been fluctuating slightly over the past few days, but haven't experienced any dramatic changes so far this week. The 30-year fixed mortgage rate has been hovering around 5.5%, and ticked up slightly today. As inflation grows and the Federal Reserve works to get prices under control, mortgage rates may continue to increase. If the central bank isn't able to get inflation to decelerate, it may need to act more aggressively, which could push rates significantly higher.
