Celtics notebook: Knee pain forces Rob Williams out of Game 3

Rob Williams, who played 20 minutes in Game 2, continues to suffer from recurring soreness in his surgically-repaired left knee, which also has a bone bruise dating back to a collision with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
As such, Williams missed Saturday night's Game 3 after playing in the previous two games of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics center had also missed the last four games of the conference semifinals against Milwaukee.
“He had some soreness and swelling that cropped up,” Ime Udoka said of Williams, who decided that he couldn't go after testing the knee pregame.
