Boston man held for dangerousness hearing following charges that he beat, strangled Dorchester pregnant woman

A Boston man is accused of beating and strangling a pregnant woman in her Dorchester home and injuring a 1-year-old child in the event.
“Go freshen up, you are bleeding,” Marvin De La Cruz allegedly told a woman after she had woken back up after he strangled her to unconsciousness in her Dorchester bedroom Saturday, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
De La Cruz, 23, was arraigned Monday in municipal court in East Boston on charges of assault and battery on a pregnant victim, assault and battery against a family member and assault and battery on a child causing...
