Boston Police officers took 15 guns off the street last week, as the department reports a “troubling” uptick of kids carrying firearms ahead of the summer months.
The past week's gun-related incidents were punctuated by two juvenile arrests at Charlestown High School. A 13-year-old boy from Hyde Park and a 17-year-old boy from Mission Hill both brought loaded firearms - 9 mm Glock handguns - to school on Thursday, according to police.
