Schools in three New Hampshire towns locked down as police investigate written threat

State and local law enforcement are present in schools in three towns in New Hampshire after “multiple signs” indicating a “school shooter” were spotted, according to Granite State officials.
The state is monitoring schools in the Merrimack County towns of Epsom and Pittsfield and the Belknap County town of Barnstead. Barnstead is north-northeast on N.H. Route 28 from the others, about three and a half miles from Pittsfield and about 11 miles from Epsom.
