Patriots demolish Chargers, set up AFC Championship showdown with Chiefs

FOXBORO - When exactly did the day begin spiraling out of control for the Chargers?
At the sight of the thermometer hanging on the wall outside their locker room? It showed sub-20 temperatures during warmups.
Or during the opening drive? The Patriots won the toss and uncharacteristically took the ball, confident they could jump ahead early and force the Chargers to play on their terms.
