City-by-city ‘Mount Rushmore' athlete rankings: Part I

A man I trust once told me that New York playground legend Lloyd Daniels posed the most remarkable question in sports history 22 years ago.
The Topeka Sizzlers' team bus had pulled up to a stop in the Black Hills of South Dakota so that the CBA players could stretch their legs and take a look at Mount Rushmore. Daniels reportedly rubbed the nap from his eyes, looked up at the massive monument featuring George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, turned to a teammate and asked: “That be man-made?”
