‘It's not a good sign': MBTA posts wrong dates for Orange Line shutdown at stations

Signs of trouble started to appear a day before the unprecedented 30-day shutdown of the entire Orange Line.
Those out and about in Boston Thursday may have noticed signs alerting commuters to the line closure, service changes and alternative travel options popping up at Orange Line stations, but a glaring error quickly became apparent.
The signs indicated that the shutdown, slated for 9 p.m. Friday to Sept. 18, would not start until Monday, Aug. 22, which is actually the start date for the related partial Green Line closure.
