Coronavirus cases in Massachusetts: 33 new deaths and more than 6,600 total cases

Thirty-three new coronavirus deaths were reported in Massachusetts on Tuesday along with 868 new cases of the contagious virus that has spread across the state.
The 33 new deaths bring the state total to 89 coronavirus deaths, the state Department of Public Health announced.
Many of the deaths were reported in elderly residents with pre-existing conditions.
The Bay State's total confirmed cases is now 6,620 with Suffolk County having the most confirmed cases with 1,373, followed by Middlesex County with 1,340.
Essex County has 784 confirmed cases, Norfolk County has 738, Worcester County has 433, and Plymouth County has 459.
The total number of tests in Massachusetts went up to 46,935 on Monday, an increase of 4,142 from the day before.
The age group of Massachusetts residents with the most cases is age 50-59.
562 patients have been hospitalized with coronavirus and 1,941 have not.
