Erdogan, Putin & Rouhani speak to media after trilateral talks on Syria

The presidents of Russia, Iran and Turkey met for three-way talks centered on resolving the conflict in Syria, including establishing a ‘buffer zone' to manage the flow of refugees in the country.
During their meeting in Ankara on Monday, Presidents Vladimir Putin, Hassan Rouhani and Recep Erdogan - of Russia, Iran and Turkey respectively - talked about progress in the Syrian conflict, as well as ways to finally end fighting in the Idlib Province, one of the last rebel strongholds in the country. It was the fifth meeting between the leaders since their first three-way summit in 2017.
