MINNEAPOLIS - Amazon said Wednesday that it will hold its annual Prime Day over two days in June this year, the earliest it has ever held the sales event. And Minnesota-based Target has unveiled their plan for three days of deals.
Typically, Amazon holds Prime Day in July. Amazon has said it was holding it earlier due to the Olympics, which starts next month and take people's attention away. Last year, Amazon postponed Prime Day to October because of the pandemic and used the sales event to kickoff holiday shopping early.

Amazon announced that its pinnacle shopping event, Prime Day , will return June 21-22.
The two-day shopping bonanza kicks off at 3 a.m. Wednesday, June 21 and runs through Thursday, June 22 for Prime members in the U.S. and beyond. Expect more than two million deals across every category, including Amazon devices, toys, TVs, electronics, fashion, beauty, kitchen and home. Amazon's also promising never-before-seen exclusives across Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Gaming and more.
