Disney animator brings magic to Netflix, starting with ‘Sea Beast'

With Friday's “The Sea Beast,” Oscar-winning animator Chris Williams begins a new era at Netflix.
After nearly 25 years at Disney, Williams, 53, took a surprise hike to write, direct and co-produce a fantastical 18th century seafaring tale of sea monsters, the sailors who track and kill them, and a spunky young stowaway, Maisie Brumble, whose courage and common sense changes many lives.
