Fitzpatrick's justification for voting against his own bill defies belief
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, just days after the racist mass shooting and hate crime murders in Buffalo , voted against a bill he co-sponsored to combat domestic terrorism.
How did Fitzpatrick justify this vote?
He cannot support its current version because it would give the Justice Department “too much leeway in picking and choosing what it considers to constitute domestic terrorism.”
