Memo: New Jersey to release Covid-19 positive inmates

New Jersey's Department of Corrections plans to release 11 Covid-positive inmates on Wednesday as part of massive early release program crediting prisoners for time served during the pandemic.
“Some will be sent to parole placements where they will be medically isolated, others will be released to family, while others will be provided full transport by the Department to their residence,” department spokesperson Liz Velez wrote in an email. “As an aside, all individuals released are provided Department issued COVID-19 materials such as masks and other resources to help manage virus...
