Clampdown: More than 200 people under coronavirus quarantine in Massachusetts

More than 200 people in Massachusetts who recently returned from China are under quarantine and being monitored for coronavirus with health officials saying they're ready to “scale up” the state's response if needed.
A total of 608 people have been under a 14-day self-quarantine in their homes, Public Health Commissioner Monica Bharel said on a conference call Wednesday. She stressed the “risk remains low” for the highly contagious disease here.

State health officials said Wednesday that hundreds of Bay State residents are quarantined in Massachusetts to guard against coronavirus but that the “risk remains low” for the highly contagious infection.
