Why Cam Newton is primed for another big game against the Raiders

Over his decorated career, Cam Newton and the Raiders have met just twice.
The matchups were a struggle for Newton. One ugly win and a hard-fought loss, the same record he'll carry with the Patriots into the weekend.
But as Newton will tell you, those games are irrelevant with respect to Sunday. The two that matter are the games Las Vegas has played this season. Studying that film, Newton should forget any past struggles - and start salivating.
The Raiders defense is bunked in the basement of several major statistical categories, including a handful that should seize the quarterback's attention. Most glaringly, Las Vegas looks like it is allergic to tackling.
The Raiders again rank as one of the worst tackling teams in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus, months after they finished 29th for the 2019 season. For Las Vegas defenders, wrapping up opponents seemingly comes secondary to seizing any opportunity to deliver a massive hit.
