Santa Cruz County gets $2.2 million to house the homeless

A final round of state funding for Project Homekey totaling $36 million has gone out to four communities across the Bay Area and Central Coast. Among the projects is one in Santa Cruz led by Housing Matters, who received $2.2 million to finish transforming a former business office into seven dwelling units.
